Lebanese, Syrian charged over ISIS ties

BEIRUT: A Lebanese prosecutor Wednesday charged a Syrian and a Lebanese with belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS).

Military prosecutor Saqr Saqr accused the two of belonging to the radical group with the aim of carrying out terrorist attacks. If convicted, the two could face the death penalty.

He referred the suspects to the military investigative judge.
