Army searches for kidnapped Syrian in Bekaa

Khalil al-Ali and his brother Abdel-Karim were set free in Hallanieh in Baalbek late Monday night, the NNA said.

BEIRUT: Army troops conducted raids Tuesday in a Bekaa Valley village in east Lebanon in search of a Syrian national who was kidnapped along with two others for ransom, the National News Agency said.

NNA said the army searched houses in Brital looking for Zeidan Hamad, whose kidnappers are asking for a ransom of $500,000 to free him.

Syrian brothers Khalil and Abdul-Karim al-Ali, who were kidnapped along with Zeidan Monday, were released in Hallanieh near Baalbek late Monday night in exchange for a $20,000 ransom.
