BEIRUT: Three rockets fired from Syria hit the Bekaa Valley late Wednesday, dropping between the towns of Bezaliyya and Labweh in the outskirts of Arsal, a security source told The Daily Star.

No casualties or material damage was reported.

Last week, seven Hezbollah fighters and 32 Syrian rebels died in clashes just over the border from the Lebanese border town of Arsal.

Rebels battling Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces have in recent weeks attempted to retake several areas along the porous border that would allow them to smuggle weapons and fighters between Lebanon and Syria.
