BAALBEK, Lebanon: A man frustrated over the extensive traffic jam in Labweh village’s square Thursday fired shots in the air near the mayor and several municipality guards.
Earlier media reports had said that an unknown group of people riding an old truck fired toward Labweh’s mayor. However, according to Daily Star’s correspondent, the man’s bullets were not aimed at anyone and they caused no wounds or material damage at the scene.
