BEIRUT: Security forces have freed a lawyer who was abducted Sunday and arrested his kidnappers, the Internal Security Forces said in a statement Monday.
The police said Rabee Nasr, 44, was abducted on June 1, with his kidnappers asking his brother for a $3,000 ransom.
The kidnappers informed the sibling that the handover would take place in Dbayeh.
After thorough investigation, the ISF were able to track down the kidnappers, arrest them in the Metn area of Jal el-Dib and then free Nasr.
They were identified by their initials as A.A., 20, A.A, 22, and A.F. 21, all of Lebanese nationality.
The ISF said that the abduction was over a financial dispute between the lawyer and his kidnappers.
