The Union Coordination Committee announced Wednesday plans to hold a general strike on June 9 and 10 and a series of protests, reiterating its boycott of official exams starting June 12 .The UCC said that the boycott of the official exams was in effect, even after the Education Minister postponed them for 5 days.The union had threatened Friday to start an open-end general strike if the lawmakers didn't pass the wage hike before June 6, but modified its short term strategy after Wednesday's statement.
