Suspects shoot at Army soldiers in Hermel

BEIRUT: A shootout occurred in Hermel between Army soldiers and four suspects, who were arrested and taken for interrogation, according to a Lebanese Army statement Friday.

The confrontation occurred during an Army raid to arrest the suspects, identified as Ahmad Aloua, Mohammed Hussein Nassereddine, Alaa Hussein Alam and Ali Aloua.

The Army detained three military rifles, one of them automatic, three pistols and several RPGs.
