BEIRUT: Security forces raided a shop selling expired cosmetics in the Bekaa Valley and arrested the owner before destroying the goods.
In a statement, State Security in the eastern town of Zahle said it raided a shop in Bar Elias selling "expired and replicated cosmetic products" owned by a Syrian woman identified as M.Q.
The state prosecutor in the Bekaa Valley ordered the arrest of the woman, and the goods were destroyed in the presence of representatives from Consumer Protection at the Bar Elias landfill.
