BEIRUT: Lebanese authorities Monday confiscated usable rocket-propelled grenades, automatic rifles and ammunition during a raid on a house and a depot in the Beirut neighborhood of Zokak el Blat.
A security source told The Daily Star that the early morning raid carried out by members of the State Security was part of beefed up measures to crack down on terror suspects, following Friday’s car bombing that left one police officer dead and 32 people wounded.
