BEIRUT: Beirut Investigative Judge Ghassan Oweidat issued a second arrest warrant Monday for prominent businessman Bahij Abu Hamzeh, a former aide of MP Walid Jumblatt.

The second arrest warrant in the embezzlement and breach of trust case brought against him by Jumblatt does not replace the first arrest warrant, judicial sources told The Daily Star.

The first warrant, issued in April, is over a lawsuit filed by Issam Sayegh, the chairman of the Safa football team. The lawsuit accused Abu Hamzeh of embezzlement and breach of trust.
