BEIRUT: A man’s body was found smashed on the rocks in the Dbayyeh marina Monday, two days after he was declared missing.
The National News Agency reported that the Maritime Rescue Units had found the body of Rony Mamlian, 38, who was announced missing Saturday after his car was found parked near the marina in the Kesrouan town of Dbayyeh.
Following a land and air search, Mamlian’s body was spotted against the rocks between Antelias and Dbayyeh.
The coroner examined the body on location before it was transferred to Wardieh Hospital.
Residents in the region told the NNA that Mamlian regularly visited the marina area. An investigation has been launched to determine whether there was any foul play.
