Police uncover two gangs forging passports, visas

BEIRUT: General Security announced Friday that they discovered two gangs specialized in forging passports and visas from Turkey and Egypt. 

General Security released a statement saying it arrested eight Egyptian nationals who had purchased forged visas upon their arrival to Lebanon.

The second ring, according to the statement, is located in Turkey and has provided an Egyptian citizen with a forged Syrian passport. 

The Egyptian man was also arrested upon arrival at the Tripoli port. 

Investigations have been launched with the detained suspects, and contacts are underway with the relevant authorities in Turkey and Egypt to arrest the ring members.
