Health minister receives vans donated by UNICEF

BEIRUT: Health Minister Wael Abu Faour received from UNICEF Friday two vans equipped to transport vaccines and medicines.

The two vans were a donation from the U.N. organization prior to the start of the third stage of the national vaccination campaign, which begins Monday and aims to vaccinate all children residing in Lebanon against polio.

During the handover ceremony attended by the UNICIF representative in Lebanon Anamaria Laurini, Abu Faour said: “The ministry is thankful for this donation, which is needed due to the burden that the ministry and the other ministries are bearing because of the Syrian displacement crisis in Lebanon.”
