BEIRUT: Hezbollah and the Amal Movement Saturday denounced in a joint statement the phenomena of abductions in different Lebanese regions.
“The leaderships of Amal Movement and Hezbollah denounce the recurrent incidents of abduction in different Lebanese regions and the detention of citizens in exchange for ransoms,” the statement said.
“We call on the new Cabinet to [put this issue] on its list of priorities and put an end to the abductions,” it added.
The two parties also noted the positive roles they played in securing the release of hostages.
