MIT student Kasab buried in Kfar Shuba

BEIRUT: Hadi Kasab was buried Sunday in his hometown of Kfar Shuba, with top state officials and dozens of religious and municipal figures in attendance. 

Kasab, 23, was a second-year graduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology focusing on computation for design and optimization. 

He was found dead in his dorm room in Cambridge on March 6, officials said. Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and MP Bahia Hariri sent representatives and wreaths for his funeral. 

A resident of Sidon, Kasab graduated from the American University of Beirut.
