Body of drowned man found in north Lebanon river

BEIRUT/TRIPOLI: The body of a drowned man in his 50s was found Thursday in Nahr al-Kabir River on the border between Syria and Lebanon.

The nationality of the man, wearing a khaki sweatshirt and olive green pants, was not immediately clear.

A coroner who examined the body confirmed that the cause of death was drowning.

He told The Daily Star that the incident took place around one month ago.
