Army arrests five in Beirut's southern suburbs

BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army said Tuesday it arrested five people in Beirut's southern suburbs accused of shooting and discharging weapons.

In a statement, the military identified the suspects as Hamzah Rashid Zeaiter, Mohammad Wehbi Ramez Zeneddine, Abbas Samih Hajoula, Karam Ramez Zeneddine and Hasan Jmail Mannoun.

The Army also said it confiscated four rifles, a gun, a hand grenade, ammunition and military gear from Mannoun.

They were referred to the concerned judiciary.
