Army arrests man in Akkar, seizes bullets

BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army arrested Saturday morning a man in Akkar, north Lebanon, and confiscated thousands of bullets from his vehicle, a statement from the military said.

Rabih Abdel-Karim Younes was arrested at 6:15 a.m. in the Hnayder village of Akkar while driving a Toyota van, the Army said.

6,600 bullets for light weapons were confiscated from the vehicle, the statement said.

Younes was handed over to the relevant judiciary.
