BEIRUT: Two Lebanese were severely wounded by Syrian army fire along the northern border with Lebanon Monday, a security source told The Daily Star.

Syrian soldiers shot at the Fares border crossing in Wadi Khaled where Osama Ahmad Al-Ali and Khaled al-Mahamed were standing.

The men were inside Lebanese territory, the source said.

The two were transferred to a nearby hospital and remain in critical condition.
