BEIRUT: A cancer patient was admitted to a hospital in the northern city of Tripoli Tuesday after the intervention of Health Minister Wael Abu Faour.

Abu Faour stepped in after the parents and relatives of a 5-year-old cancer patient protested outside Nini hospital after the child was denied admission.

The state-run National News Agency said Tala Jumaa was not allowed to complete her cancer treatment, which was approved by the Health Ministry.
