Army arrests four in Beirut's southern suburbs

BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army said Wednesday that it apprehended four suspects in Beirut's southern suburbs while a fifth man surrendered to the military.

In a statement, the Army said Mustafa Zu al-Fiqar Ismail, Hussein Hasan Tamhaz and Mohammad Hasan Tamhaz were arrested on shooting charges.

Ali Shakib Mussa was apprehended for possession of an unlicensed weapon.

Ali Zu al-Fiqar Ismail, who surrendered to the army, was wanted on shooting charges.

Media reports said the arrests were made during raids in several neighborhoods of the capital's suburbs.
