BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army said Thursday it detained dozens of people suspected of being part of a drug trafficking network in the Metn neighborhood of Sadd al-Boushrieh.
In a statement, the military said soldiers raided a residential complex in the area and arrested a number of suspects, after the Army received information about the presence of a drug trafficking ring.
It added that the military also confiscated weapons, ammunition and a quantity of drugs of various kinds.
In one of the photos released by the Army, 24 suspects are seen handcuffed and on the floor.
