Suspects accused of attacking Army arrested

BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army said Saturday it arrested two men in the Beirut suburb of Hadath accused of attacking military personnel.

In a statement, the military identified the suspects as Jalal Mohammad Jaafar and Moussa Mohammad Jaafar, wanted on several warrants for attacking members of the Army.

The Army confiscated hashish, ammunition, military gear and a forged identification card which were in the suspects’ possession.

It also added that it arrested Sami Ghalem al-Husseini and Palestinian Bilal Mohammad Saleh in Haret Hreik on shooting charges late Friday.
