BEIRUT: Two rockets from Syria hit a Bekaa Valley town Sunday, with no casualties reported, an Army statement said.

The rockets fired from the eastern mountain range hit the Bekaa Valley town of Hor Taala at around 11:20 a.m., the Army said.

Military experts inspected the blast sites, the military said.

Bekaa Valley villages have frequently been subject to similar attacks. Islamist rebel groups fighting in Syria have claimed responsibility for similar attacks on predominantly Shiite towns in the past, citing Hezbollah's role in the Syrian crisis fighting alongside regime forces.
