BEIRUT: Two people, including a one-year-old boy, were killed and four others wounded in a traffic accident on the Jeita-Zouk Mosbeh road Monday.

A security source told The Daily Star that the boy, Charbel Saliba, a Syrian national, suffered from serious injuries and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

His mother, Maria, and Hanadi Saliba, a relative, were injured after their Mercedes-Benz was wrecked in a collision with a Range Rover.

The source said that the other victim, a Lebanese man in his 60s, was killed when his separate Mercedes-Benz was destroyed in a head-on collision with the same Range Rover.
