BEIRUT: A 33-year-old man reported missing earlier this week was found dead Tuesday in a north Lebanon beach, a security source told The Daily Star.
Patrick Roger Sfeir, a graphic designer, was reported missing Sunday night after he failed to return to his home in Hazmieh. His vehicle was found Monday morning on an Amsheet beach.
Rescue teams launched search efforts Monday morning while police searched Sfeir's vehicle looking for clues, discovering the man's wallet and cellphone.
A source close to the family described Sfeir as a lively, adventurous man who frequented the Amsheet beach on a regular basis.
The security source said investigation was ongoing to determine the circumstances behind the incident.
In photos released by the National News Agency, Sfeir was stil wearing a pair of flippers when rescue teams found his body.
