The Muslims of Lebanon will not fall for the plans to create strife and divide among them, Grand Mufti Abdel-Latif Derian said Tuesday after meeting with a prominent Shiite figure. The mufti stressed that the culture of Islamic unity should be spread and propagated to all Muslim sects, not exclusively on the Sunnis and the Shiites. The Shiite imam said such unity would be the best weapon against both the Zionist and the takfiri projects, which he said were two faces of the same coin.
