A Lebanese Army unit was ambushed on the outskirts of the northeastern town of Arsal Friday as it headed to the scene of a roadside bomb that wounded three soldiers earlier in the day.In a statement, the Army said a military unit came under fire by militants on the outskirts, prompting soldiers to fire back and pursue the gunmen who fled to the highlands surrounding Arsal.The bomb exploded as the Army vehicle passed through the town, a security source told The Daily Star, adding that a lieutenant colonel was among the wounded personnel.
