An 11-member parliamentary subcommittee tasked with discussing draft proposals for a new electoral law will hold its first meeting Thursday, members of the committee agreed Monday.MP Robert Ghanem said the committee agreed on a one-month deadline to review all draft proposals after a preliminary meeting Monday at the home of Speaker Nabih Berri.Earlier Monday, Free Patriotic Movement lawmaker Alain Aoun said the party will submit to Berri its vision on the new electoral law, hoping other parties would show good will towards reaching an agreement.Geagea argued that a "clear road map with clear deadlines" existed in the fresh bid to reach a new electoral law compared to previous attempts.
