The continued presidential paralysis is an insult to the founding fathers of Lebanon's independence, former Prime Minister Saad Hariri said, calling for immediate consultations to elect a new head of state.Lebanon has failed to elect a new president on several occasions to replace former President Michel Sleiman whose six-year term ended on May 25 .This road map, Hariri said, represented the required foundation for stability and a suitable environment for the army to successfully carry out its role in controlling the border, fighting terrorism and freeing the kidnapped soldiers, who were kidnapped in August during clashes with militants from Syria.Hariri, the head of the Future Movement, said this independence was the most bitter given the absence of a president who should be a national symbol.
