Heavy rainfall caused river and street flooding on Tuesday night that continued well into Wednesday morning across Lebanon with at least five injuries from weather-related road accidents.Security and the Traffic Management Center said the accidents took place during heavy rainfall between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday. Drivers witnessed huge traffic congestion due to heavy rainfall that submerged many streets across Lebanon since Tuesday evening.Torrential rain also caused flooding on streets and in shops across the southern port city of Sidon and left many stranded, particularly along the Serail roundabout and the city's main roads of Sitt Nafiseh and Habseh.
