Lebanon must disengage from the civil war destroying Syria, former Prime Minister Saad Hariri said Tuesday, warning that the country would be ripped apart if the sectarian plots against it were allowed to continue. While the Army says that it is targeting terrorists, regardless of their sect, some in the community have criticized the security forces for only focusing on suspected Sunni militants, while looking the other way at Hezbollah's involvement in the Syria war.Hariri contrasted his moral and political support, and that of the wider Sunni community, for the Syrian revolution to Hezbollah's armed intervention. However, Hariri called on Syrian fighters to leave Lebanon out of their battle, saying it would only serve "the dearest wishes of the Syrian regime".
