Firefighters put out fire near gas tanks in Lebanon's Zalka

BEIRUT: Firefighters successfully contained a fire Wednesday that erupted near a port along Beirut's seaside road, preventing the blaze from reaching nearby gas tanks.

The fire broke out in Zalka between the Hyundai dealership and the Gemayel al-Gemayel port, sending plumes of smoke into the area's skyline.

Minutes after the fire erupted, Civil Defense volunteers were able to contain the blaze and prevent it from reaching the nearby tanks.
