U.N. envoy to Syria Steffan de Mistura Saturday said Lebanon was paying a dangerous price as a result of the neighboring crisis, during talks with Prime Minister Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail hours after he arrived in Beirut.In response to a question, de Mistura said he was determined to do what he was tasked with and search for new means to lessen the suffering of the Syrian people and tensions in the region.He said he hoped he would be able to contribute to resolving the crisis in Syria, which he added has taken too long a time to end.
