The Future Movement and Speaker Nabih Berri are not planning to extend Parliament's term in return for reactivating legislative activity, both Future MPs and Berri stressed Wednesday.Jarrah's comments were echoed by MP Atef Majdalani, who spoke to a local radio station, also implying that the rumors about the deal were wrong.Machnouk had announced last week that the Future Movement was holding very serious talks with Speaker Nabih Berri, for the sake of reactivating legislation.Berri confirmed in his meetings with March 14 representatives that he considered the wage hike the first priority for action. Despite the lack of any completed deal, Future MP Jean Ogassapian said Wednesday that the wage hike would be approved soon.
