The Constitutional Council has unveiled a new website, offering the public access for the first time to all rulings made in its 20-year history. It also includes a new detailed guidebook on the role, function and precedents of the council.A compilation of the council's decisions has also been published in two leather-bound volumes, one on electoral dispute resolutions and one on constitutionality reviews. The 10-member council, which is mandated by Article 19 of the Lebanese Constitution, supervises the constitutionality of laws and arbitrates conflicts over presidential and parliamentary elections. The council's decisions, however, are only available in Arabic.More rulings may be translated to French or English, depending on limited resources.
