The Lebanese state will persevere through dialogue despite regional turmoil, Speaker Nabih Berri said Monday, adding that the country has managed to maintain order through cooperation between Cabinet and Parliament.Berri said that Lebanon was facing the double threat of terrorist groups and Israel.The speaker said that now that the protocol of cooperation was signed, Lebanon and Paraguay should seek to implement it.He said this should be facilitated by the presence of a huge, productive and dynamic Lebanese diaspora community in Paraguay.For his part, Velazquez promised to work on reaching the highest levels of cooperation between Lebanon and Paraguay, particularly with respect to legislation. Under the protocol, Paraguayan parliamentarians will visit Lebanon and their Lebanese counterparts would in turn Paraguay.
