Speaker Nabih Berri is planning to host talks involving rival Lebanese leaders in a bid to end the presidential deadlock, a source close to the head of the Amal Movement told The Daily Star Friday.The source said that the outcome of contacts Berri was making were "acceptable" so far.Berri is making efforts to break the Cabinet impasse through advocating a solution under which the 70 decrees will be presented to ministers from the FPM and their allies to sign all or some of them.MP Walid Jumblatt is also taking part in attempts to end the political crisis. On his request, Health Minister Wael Abu Faour visited Aoun, the FPM leader, Friday evening. Gen. Shamel Roukoz raised and to have an agreement reached on the Cabinet's decision-making mechanism.They said that contacts to solve this problem were being held exclusively between Berri, Salam, former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Jumblatt.
