Riot police cleared Beirut's Riad al-Solh Square of protesters and made several arrests as the You Stink campaign formally ended their rally which witnessed thousands of protesters demanding an end to government corruption and for politicians to be held accountable for their actions.Protesters shouted slogans against politicians and denounced Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk.Protesters were angered by a banner erected by the Internal Security Forces in solidarity with them."Game over," a banner held by one protester read.By 7:30 p.m. protesters had reached Riad al-Solh Square near the Grand Serail as Martyrs' Square overflowed with people.Riot police deployed later heavily in the square dispersing the remaining protesters and arresting several more.Rallies last weekend, which managed to draw thousands to the city's center, saw clashes between security forces and protesters.
