The Mohammad al-Amine Mosque glowed in the mist of the night sky as tens of thousands of people gathered in Martyrs' Square for the largest demonstration coordinated by the "You Stink" campaign yet. Unlike protests of the past, not a single flag from political parties could be seen, only crowds of people draped in national colors while hoisting photos of Che Guevara and waving signs that demanded "electricity," "democracy" and a "new electoral law". The campaign also called for holding accountable all authorities responsible for the police crackdown on demonstrators on Aug. 22 .Nader Houeha, a slender man with dark hair, stood with a Lebanese flag draped over his shoulder.Even if the You Stink campaign was successful in changing the status quo.
