Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri holds talks with French President Francois Hollande in Paris Thursday on Lebanon's presidential deadlock, a day after MP Sleiman Frangieh said his bid to the top post was a historical opportunity for the country.Hariri's morning meeting with Hollande comes weeks after the Future Movement leader has reportedly backed Frangieh's presidential bid under a comprehensive settlement to end the country's political crisis. Hariri is also set to meet Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb Thursday as part of his ongoing consultations with politicians over the 18-month presidential vacuum. The Free Patriotic Movement, the Lebanese Forces and the Kataeb Party are opposed to Frangieh's candidacy.The source said that deeper talks were required between Aoun and Frangieh, whether directly or indirectly.The source said that Monday's dialogue session between Hezbollah and the Future Movement had focused on the deal that Hariri had proposed to Frangieh and that participants highlighted the need to boost negotiations between the LF and the Future Movement on one side and Aoun and Frangieh on the other. The minister said that the March 8 coalition had the opportunity to agree on electing Frangieh.
