One soldier was killed and four others were wounded Monday during a clash with an armed group near the eastern city of Baalbek, the Army said in a statement.The clash erupted when an Army force was carrying out raids in Dar al-Wasiaa, near Baalbek, in search of members from the Jaafar clan wanted for their involvement in the 2014 killing of a married couple in the Bekaa town of Btedaai, the statement said. While investigation has begun with the gunmen, the Army is continuing its raids to apprehend the remaining suspects connected with the Btedaai killing.The Army, however, managed to reopen the road after a couple of hours.
