Lebanese troops Tuesday found two large drug production factories during a massive search for fugitives, hours after suspects involved in the 2014 killing of a married couple were arrested.During the raids, the Army announced in two separate statements that it had found two large drug production factories belonging to fugitives Hasan and Mohammad Jaafar. Special commandos fanned out across Baalbek's Sharawneh neighborhood at dawn in search of more suspects in the killing of the Fakhri couple in the neighboring town of Btedaai last year.The manhunt in the Bekaa Valley came hours after an armed group Monday fatally shot a soldier and wounded four others during an exchange of gunfire with troops in Dar al-Wasiaa, near Baalbek, the Army said in a statement.Three of the gunmen were among the suspects wanted in connection with the Btedaai killing, according to the statement.Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea also contacted Army Commander Gen. Jean Kahawji to congratulate him over the arrest of some of those involved in the 2014 murder and the Army's overall operations in the northern Bekaa.
