The Order of Physicians will file a complaint to halt the implementation of a decision by Health Minister Wael Abu Faour to merge payment of hospital and doctor fees, the head of the order said."As a first step, the order has decided to file an urgent complaint before the State Shura Council to suspend this decision and we hope that physicians will not resort to further escalatory steps," Antoine Boustani said Wednesday. Speaking during a news conference he held at the headquarters of the order in Beirut, Boustani said the physicians were irritated with Abu Faour's decision. Boustani said that the order was investigating every single complaint it had received, and taking disciplinary measures against implicated physicians when appropriate.
