Veteran journalist and well-known TV news anchor Arafat Hijazi died of sudden cardiac arrest late Sunday.Hijazi was also a former media advisor to Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.Hijazi held degrees in political science, philosophy and sociology, and was elected several times as a member of the Lebanese Editors' Association.Hijazi taught Arabic before he began his career at Tele Liban. Joreige lauded Hijazi's legacy on Lebanon's media industry, while noting his work with Tele Liban and the Lebanese Editors' Association.
