BEIRUT: Health Minister Wael Abu Faour announced Wednesday a dramatic new strategy to refocus the media's attention on his food safety campaign: raids.The ministry will order a food shop or factory found to be selling contaminated food to stop. Abu Faour also explained that health ministry inspectors will from now on be accompanied by security forces when they visit shops and destroy contaminated products.Abu Faour said he also ordered the shutting down of "Assi" dairy factory in Hermel, northeast Lebanon, for violating food safety standards.
