The Army has engaged in a number of clashes with rebel groups in and around the northeastern border town of Arsal, while Hezbollah is currently waging an offensive alongside the Syrian regime in that country's mountainous Qalamoun border region.But Geagea has been vocal in his opposition to Hezbollah's ongoing participation in the Syrian war, saying it has brought terrorism into Lebanon after Syria-based militants retaliated by carrying out bomb attacks in areas where Hezbollah enjoys wide support.
