Lebanese troops have killed two militants trying to infiltrate the northeastern border town of Arsal, the military said Friday, as Hezbollah killed nine Nusra Front members in an ambush on the Syrian side of the border.It added that one of the dead was identified as Hussein Abdullah al-Rifai, a Syrian, while the second militant was unidentified.A senior military official said the Army has beefed up its measures to prevent the infiltration of militant groups into Arsal.Lebanese troops have frequently clashed with Nusra Front and ISIS militants on the outskirts of Arsal and the northeastern town of Ras Baalbek where ISIS is based.Hezbollah and the Syrian army have been battling militants from ISIS and the Nusra Front in the Qalamoun region since they launched a full-fledged joint offensive on May 4 aimed at expelling them from the border area with Lebanon.Gen. Walid Salman said the military was fighting against two enemies for Lebanon: Israel and terrorism.
