March 14 figures elected former MP Samir Frangieh as the head of the coalition's National Council Sunday, in the first session for the group since the formation of the council was announced last March.Frangieh, a political writer and a former March 14 lawmaker from north Lebanon, won with a sweeping majority of 237 votes while his opponent Fawzi Farri only received 32 . Three hundred March 14 representatives met in Beirut's Biel complex to elect a president and the heads of 14 specialized committees.
