The Special Tribunal heard evidence Tuesday from a witness who said he had been a neighbor of a defendant's family in Haret Hreik, along with details on the prosecution's preparation of telecommunications data for presentation before the court. After the recess, associate evidence custodian Bastiaan Van der Laaken, who began his testimony yesterday, was brought back to court for further examination.Van der Laaken was one of only two people working for the office of the prosecutor who could modify and update an Excel database for entry into its electronic presentation of evidence software. Prosecutors will use to the software to try and bring together this disparate telecoms data to present a coherent picture of how the defendants conducted surveillance on Hariri and plotted the attack. The tribunal will resume Wednesday morning for further witness testimony.
